Prof. Artūras Razbadauskas has been serving as the Rector of Klaipeda University since 2018. He holds the position of Full Professor in Medicine and Health Sciences within the Faculty of Health Sciences at Klaipeda University (KU). Notably, he previously led the KU Department of Nursing from 2001 to 2009 and served as the elected Dean of the KU Faculty of Health Sciences from 2009 to 2018. Simultaneously, Prof. Razbadauskas has been actively contributing as a clinical surgeon at Klaipeda's Seamen's Hospital and held the position of Head of Surgery Clinics at Seamen's Hospital from 2003 to 2019. Prof. Razbadauskas is a distinguished academic who has been serving as the Editor for the "Rehabilitation" section of the "BioMed Research International Journal" (Hindawi) since 2020. Additionally, he holds the role of Lead Editor for a Special Issue in the "Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine Journal" (Hindawi) since 2021. His extensive scholarly contributions include the publication of 180 original scientific articles, with 39 of them indexed in WoS (Web of Science) and Scopus.  Beyond academia, Prof. A. Razbadauskas is actively engaged in various national and international public organizations dedicated to addressing public health issues. These roles include his participation in the World Health Organization European Healthy Cities Network Political Committee since 2020, membership in the National Health Council since 2013, service on the Committee of Health and Social Affairs of Klaipėda City Municipality from 2015 to 2019, and his ongoing role as Chairman of the Community Health Council of Klaipėda City Municipality since 2011, among others.
